Last year we were Kiltwalk newbies, we’re back for more and have signed up for a second year.
We hope you will consider joining us on 3 June to walk and raise funds for the Foyer. Last year’s walkers said the main reasons they took part were to be part of a positive experience and do something good. They also enjoy walking (this helps!) and experiencing the great outdoors. Groups from companies found it a great team building opportunity.
You can help us to raise vital funds to support young people who have been homeless and help people of all ages in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire to develop skills and talents to move towards training and work. You could help us make a real difference.
“5 years ago I was on the street – my life was going nowhere. I had housing support for a year at the Foyer and I did a training course in construction. I now have my own flat and have a fulltime job.”
“The Foyer gave me opportunities and great support, I wouldn’t have got a job without their help.”
“Since coming to the Foyer I hardly need to go to the doctor and am no longer in and out of hospital.”
On Sunday 3 June 2018 come and join hundreds of other Kiltwalkers and take Big Steps to help the people who need it most in our community.
With three walk lengths to choose from (5, 14.1 or 26 miles), there is a Kiltwalk for everyone. This year the Mighty Stride, Big Stroll and Wee Wander set off from the stunning Aberdeenshire countryside and head towards Aberdeen City Centre for a Kiltwalk party at the finish (no big climb at the end)!
A real bonus is 100% of your fundraising, plus an additional 40% donated by The Hunter Foundation, will come to the Foyer.
